I love coconut oil and it’s hundred of both internal and external benefits. But did you know you can use coconut oil for weight loss? it burns a ton of calories! I use coconut oil every single day whether it is topically or internally. I use it for sautéing vegetables, rubbing on as body butter, putting in smoothies for an energy boost, and in multiple other ways.

Coconut oil differs from other oils because it contains medium-chain fatty acids instead of long-chain fatty acids. These medium-chain fatty acids boost your metabolism. 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil a day is proven to increase your energy expenditure by 5% which equals 120 calories per day! (1)

One of the best and most delicious way to use coconut oil for weight loss is to use it to make coconut oil creamer to enhance the flavor of your coffee and easily boost your metabolism! You can throw out your old coffee creamers, this natural one is healthier and tastes delicious.

I like to add the cocao powder in mine and occasionally I opt for agave syrup rather than honey. You can change it up a bit to fit your likings.

Despite the name, this won’t flavor your coffee like coconut! Even if you’re not a fan of coconut, you will love this miraculous and yummy metabolism boosting, healthy coffee creamer.

How To Make Coconut Oil Coffee Creamer

  • 3/4 cup coconut oil, organic (soft but not melted)
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon powder, organic
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp. cocao powder, organic (optional)

If you don’t like your coffee sweet, then leave out the honey or start using less. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and stir or whisk together until they’re well combined. Store in a glass jar with a sealed lid.

Brew your favorite cup of coffee (about 2 cups). Add 1-2 tbsp. of coconut oil coffee creamer into your hot coffee. If you want to enhance the creaminess and flavor, you can also add a teaspoon of grass-fed butter.

Making this coffee creamer is one of my favorite ways to use coconut oil for weight loss! It’s super easy to make and is delicious. It won’t suck the flavor out of your coffee and will provide you with a rich and creamy drink that burns calories. What could be better than that!
